Today's question, I want to answer is “Do I need a small business license to teach sewing classes?”
So because you are setting up a small business, the answer is yes. Anytime, no matter what kind of business you're setting up, you want to make sure that you're doing it legally. And the first step to doing that legally is actually getting a small business license.
Today's question I want to answer, “Do I need a sewing curriculum for teaching classes?”
My simple answer to this is “yes”. I think that if you're just starting out as a sewing teacher, maybe you have a little bit of sewing experience, maybe you have a lot, but if you don't actually have teaching experience, then I think having some sort of guide that you can follow will really, really help with your classes running smoothly.
Today, I want to answer the question, “Can a legally teach sewing classes and my home?”
In most cases you can have a business in your home. If you're teaching sewing from your home on your kitchen table or in her bedroom, you're starting a home based business. But you actually should find out if you can legally do this which will depend on your area.
Today, I want to answer the question, “Do I need qualifications to be a sewing teacher?”
The answer to that would be yes, if you want to be a home economics teacher. So if you want to go and get a job for somebody else, like at a school, then you would need a four year degree. You'd need a bachelor's degree in education to work for a school.
