What is the cost to set up a sewing studio?
This cost is variable...
It totally depends on what you need. You can spend as much or as little as you want.
Anywhere from a shoe string budget of $100 to $10,000 for a full renovation. On average it will probably be around $500 to $2,500.
To determine the cost you need to factor in a few things.
FIRST...
-Do you have a space in your home that needs minimal works?
-Do you want to renovate a basement or garage?
-Do you need to find a space to rent?
-How much will that cost?
-What electricity or utilities?
-Internet or phone?
-How many months rent do you need to pay before ready?
SECOND...
-Is your place dingy and in need of paint be presentable?
-Does it look like a sewing studio?
-Do you have stuff to decorate it with?
---Wall art, dress forms, stick-on word art
---Tables & chairs, shelves, trash cans
---Couch & sitting area for moms waiting
THIRD...
-What equipment do you have?
-Do you have sewing machines that work?
-Do you want to buy new ones that match?
-Do you have all the other tools?
---Scissors, pins/pincushions, tape measures
---Rulers, pens, poster board for pattern making
-Do you have an iron and ironing board?
Your Next Step!
If you want to go into the nitty-gritty detail I will be covering more in my 12-Week Start up Training.
I'll tell you exactly how much I paid for all my remodeling with paint, décor, and equipment in my home and rented space.
This is something I LOVE doing.
In fact I've decorated multiple places over the last 20 years from my sewing studios, showrooms and boutiques as a designer, to set design for filming.
The most exciting part is you will be able to set up your studio with me by your side.
I'll walk you through what you need and lots of ideas in the video trainings and then in the group you can post photos, get opinion and share your progress.
I can't wait to see the fabulous studio you will create for your sewing classes!
