Step 1 - Decide On Who Will You Teach
Hello there! We are on step number one and that is to decide on who you're going to teach. You might want to teach young children, maybe teens and tweens or adults.
Today, you get to decide on who you think is going to be a best fit for you.
I've tried all classes and my favorite by far, were teaching children. So with a child they come back over and over. You can sign them up for classes that last a month, two months, or six months. They love coming in and learning. Each week they're filled with enthusiasm and they really make sewing classes fun.
If you want to teach somebody a little bit older, maybe a tween girl (ages 11 or 12) or even a teen class, those girls are a lot of fun too. Boys can join as well. Those projects that you teach are a little more involved, but you still have a student that's coming back over and over.
And then on adult classes, adults are a little more fickle. So getting them to come weekly to a class is a little bit more challenging and probably not something you're going to do. You might want to take a totally different approach with them and do monthly workshops where they just pop into those throughout the year.
So today I want you to think about who you want to teach. Who do you think you have the experience to teach? Who do you think you'll fit best with. And who do you think you'll enjoy teaching the most?
All right, so that is it for step number one.
